A little world
for your story.

Another fucking candle company?

Didn't Etsy moms completely destroy this field already?

No.

Welcome to Sinscents: scented candles with an actual point of view, a crew of questionable characters, and founders who decided the world needed better gifts, better stories, and considerably less beige nonsense.

Yes, we used beige here. Hear us out—we fucked up. The candles are real. The humor is intentional. The little universe around them keeps getting bigger.

NAME UNDER WRAPS · JYNX UNDER SUPERVISION

A world-famous actor, writer, and comedian agreed to become Sinscents’ new spokesperson after Jynx bit him. We’re keeping his name under wraps for now. (We’re still not sure why he said yes.)

The people behind the bad influence

A real business.
A fictional staff problem.

Sinscents was created by Steve and Erika Sprague, a Massachusetts couple bringing decades of hands-on professional experience to a proudly unconventional candle brand.

01 / THE IDEA

Bad influence.
Good stories.

Sinscents makes scented candles with a sharp point of view and a fictional crew that keeps finding new ways to cause trouble. The joke is human life: work, family, relationships, holidays, shopping, and the decisions we defend afterward.

It’s a candle company with a growing story universe—and absolutely no interest in acting like candles need to be serious to smell good.

02 / STORY ANGLES

Pick your thread.

  • What happens when a candle brand builds a whole troublemaking universe?
  • Why humor belongs in the gift aisle—and the newsroom.
  • How a small business turns everyday chaos into characters and stories.
  • Behind the scenes: scent, design, and a crew with questionable judgment.
03 / THE CREW

Fictional employees.
Real incidents.

Jynx is the Little Devil: temptation, bad ideas, and the voice that says, “This is probably fine.” He’s mischievous, not malevolent.

Blanca, Tommy, and Lily each bring their own flavor of chaos. They are part of the Sinscents story world—not a committee of responsible adults.

Questions we figured you'd ask

The short answers.

Irreverence is the point. Cruelty isn’t.

Why a devil?

It started as a family joke. Jynx comes from that same playful trouble—not theology.

Is Sinscents anti-religion?

No. The joke is ourselves and the spectacular nonsense humans get into. Someone’s sincere faith is not the punchline.

Who is Jynx?

Our Little Devil: temptation, second desserts, questionable texts, and the voice that says, “This is probably fine.” Mischievous, never malevolent.

What about religious holidays?

Context matters. Jynx can make a mess around a holiday; the holiday’s faith, sacred figures, rituals, and symbols are not targets.
